Artwork description
This installation is inspired by the evolving symbolism of the blue rose. Traditionally, the blue rose represented 'impossibility,' as it did not exist in nature. However, in June 2004, Suntory announced the successful development of the world’s first blue rose, transforming its meaning into that of 'miracles and dreams come true.' This work reflects the importance of progressing step by step toward a goal once considered impossible. The process of stacking the painted cans one by one, alongside the abstract representation of four blue roses in a single continuous line, symbolises the journey of making the impossible possible and the strength of perseverance.
