Human Abstract : Perfectionism

"Human Abstract" is a series artwork inspired by road signs, founded on the premise that all humans are different, attempting to express various common emotions in humans through simple forms and various of colors in an abstract manner. The series uses various mediums, including four pieces of paper in this time, one wooden board, one canvas, and one glass tile, depicting human figures surrounded by colors and textures representing emotions related to perfectionism. “I believe there are two directions to the concept of perfectionism. The first pertains to oneself, used when encouraging or belittling oneself. The second involves the desire to be perfect in the eyes of others.” The pieces on paper were created by layering colors to depict the first aspect of perfectionism directed towards oneself. The artworks on the wooden board and glass tile express feelings related to striving for external perfectionism.
